Introductory / Intermediate | Anxiety. Guilt. Sacrifice. Exhaustion. Joy. Humor. Insight. Change. Motherhood encompasses a huge range of layers and emotions. Each week we will read and discuss contemporary essays and memoirs, alongside writing and sharing from in-class freewrites. Prompts will focus both on our own motherhood experiences, as well as our memories of being parented as children. We will experiment with point of view and form, investigate publication resources, and optionally submit a final essay for feedback. Mothers of all ages are welcome.
Due to COVID-19, all classes will take place online-either through Zoom or through Wet Ink, our asynchronous learning platform-through Spring quarter 2021.
All times are listed in Pacific Time.
