Each month, we host a Silent Reading Night with a rotating theme and a featured community partner. This month, we’re thrilled to highlight our friends at Haunted Burrow Books! Bring your most fantastical and magical book to read with the Hugo House community!
Event Schedule
- 6:00 PM – Mix & Mingle (enjoy tea, meet fellow readers, and purchase a book from Haunted Burrow Books!)
- 6:30 PM – Silent Reading Begins
- 7:30 PM – Reading break! Chat with a neighbor or go support our local artists and makers out in the Theater Lobby!
- 7:40 PM – Silent Reading Resumes
- 8:30 PM – Social Time & Book Chats
- 9:00 PM – Event Ends
Additional Details
- BYOM – Bring Your Own Mug!
- We’ll have hot water available and encourage guests to bring their favorite teas to share.
- This event is part of our ongoing Silent Reading Night series, each featuring a new theme to spark joyful, communal reading.
Meet the Vendors of December’s Silent Reading Night!Â
Join us for an unforgettable evening and check out these amazing local artists and vendors bringing the magic and fantasy to life:
- Peer into the vivid and beautiful worlds created by Stephanie Mai Designs.
- Come smell some delightful and magical scented candles from Nerdwax Candles, all inspired by literature and fantastical fictional worlds. (Our favorite is Homebound Hobbit!)
- Support local bookcraft artist, Sorrel from Wrought and Bound with their beautiful handmade book creations.
- Friday Afternoon Teas – Sip on delightful teas with their cozy winter and fantasy themed blends.
