Long Story Short
Long Story Short: a quarterly short form lit zine
The volunteer staff of Hugo House are excited to invite our community to our first Long Story Short quarterly zine event! Join us for a four hour write-in where we will introduce a theme for the quarterly issue and provide prompts that attendees are welcome to use (or come up with their own–as long as it fits the theme!). Everyone will be encouraged to submit a piece up to 500 words to be printed in the inaugural issue of Long Story Short! Pieces must be under 500 words, adhere to the Mission Statement and community spirit of Hugo House, adhere to the theme of the issue, and must be submitted during the four hour event. Otherwise, anything goes!
Submissions will be hand-written on the spot, and submitted to editorial board members to be typed up for the issue. The labs and the event, including submission and publishing, are free to the public.
Happy writing!
