NaNoWriMo, short for National Novel Writing Month, is an annual creative writing project in which participants challenge themselves to write a 50,000 word novel during the month of November.
This year, Hugo House has partnered with our friends at Folio to bring you a free, facilitated weekly space to write your novel in community. Each week, we alternate between locations at our facilities on Capitol Hill and Folio’s beautiful space at Pike Place Market.
- Saturday November 7, 12–3 PM at Folio
- Friday November 13, 4–8 PM at Hugo House
- Saturday November 21, 12–3 PM at Folio
- Friday November 27, 4–8 PM at Hugo House
At the end of the month, celebrate your accomplishment by taking the stage at one (or both) of our Open Mic Nights to read aloud from your fresh draft and connect with our community of writers.
All events are free and open to everyone. Bring your draft and join us at Hugo House and Folio for timed writing sprints!
