Kickoff Party: 30/30 Writing Challenge
Enjoy a porter beer float from Elysian and Bluebird, see three great local writers, and sign up for the second annual 30/30 Writing Challenge! Featuring readings from poet Lauren Ireland, Hugo poet-in-residence Anastacia-Renee, fiction writer Matthew Simmons, and a special guest who participated in last year’s 30/30. The party is a great opportunity to meet other participating writers, get help signing up, and/or form a fundraising team!
The bar is open, and refreshments will be provided.
— ABOUT 30/30 —
The challenge of a regular writing habit is hard when you’re only accountable to yourself. With the 30/30 Writing Challenge, join a community of like-minded writers working toward the same goal of writing as much as possible while also fundraising for Hugo House. Like a walk-a-thon, get pledges for writing without actually having to exercise (phew). The goal is to complete the titular 30 minutes of writing a day for 30 days.
Online sign-ups begin Sept. 15, and the challenge runs Oct. 1–30. Find out more info on the 30/30 page.
