Ludonarrative in Video Games: A Panel Discussion

Come visit the Hugo House's Ludonarrative in Video Games panel for a discussion of what it's like to be a writer in the games industry. Discussion will range from breaking into the games industry, designing procedurally generated stories, writing for AAA games, and more.

What happens when storytelling meets gameplay?

It'll be a dynamic two-hour panel event where game developers dive deep into the powerful intersection of narrative and mechanics in modern game design.

What is Ludonarrative?

ā€œLudonarrativeā€ is the point whereĀ ludicĀ (gameplay, mechanics) meetsĀ narrativeĀ (story, character). It’s the magic that happens when storytelling and interactivity blend seamlessly. Transforming a game from simply entertaining to truly unforgettable.

This event features a panel of innovative game developers, each presenting a 15–20 minute showcase of their work and how they merge story and game dynamics. Complete with trailers, gameplay footage, and behind-the-scenes insights. Discover how they craft compelling stories that elevate gameplay and immerse players in unforgettable worlds.
