Writing Classes for Teachers: Organic Poetry with Paul Nelson

Organic Poetry, a stance toward poem making dubbed by Robert Duncan and Denise Levertov, allows the moment of composition to be an occasion of experience, an experiment in consciousness. This entertaining workshop, led by writer and teacher Paul Nelson, includes discussion of poets Charles Olson, Denise Levertov, Joanne Kyger, Michael McClure and others, sound from these poets and writing exercises designed to help you allow the act of writing to be an exhilarating revelation of content.
