The Body Tells a Story [Anastacia-Renee]
Use both your body and memory as a catalyst for three written pieces. We will examine work by writers such as Eve Ensler, Jericho Brown, and Lucille Clifton, all of whom use the body as a substructure for poetry, editorial essays, and short stories. The class will mesh body movement, brainstorm, and memory to create new work. We will workshop pieces anonymously on the last day of class. Bring your body, memory, and creativity.
This class meets two times, July 8 and July 15.
