Deep Novel Revision [Waverly Fitzgerald]
Intermediate. For writers who have already completed a rough draft (or a substantial chunk) of a novel. We’ll begin with an overview, examining themes and exploring structure, then focus on the dynamics of each scene or chapter, the shape of each paragraph and the efficacy of each sentence. Along the way, we’ll discuss publication strategies and learn from the experience of a previous student whose novel is forthcoming from William Morrow. The goal: leave class with a clear plan for completion.
