Generating Poems: Writing Alongside Local Poets [Deborah Woodard]

By writing alongside four local poets, we’ll draw inspiration from the notion that poetry begins at home. We’ll also invite these poets to visit our class, read from their work, and talk to us. These close-to-home encounters will help us begin to understand the range of perspectives, histories, and typographies that combine to create the intellectual and esthetic world of Seattle as it exists today. You will receive weekly prompts. Scheduled guests include Kary Wayson and Matthew Henriksen.
