Homes and Homelands: Exploring Belonging Through Writing [Nalini Iyer]

All Levels. This course will be a combination of reading analysis and writing workshop for those writers who are working on immigrant experiences or exploring other forms of belonging. Using excerpts from the writings of such authors as Jhumpa Lahiri, Chimamanda Ngozi Adichie, and Salman Rushdie, this course explores what homes and homelands mean to writers and how race, place, and space intersect in writing.
