Memoir and Its Potential Impact [Tara Hardy]
Does your memoir potentially impact those around you (family, friends, colleagues, community)? Does it involve digging at some tough issues? We’ll tackle how writing memoir affects those who appear on the page, including the self. We’ll generate material and read and discuss published work; also, students will have the opportunity to receive instructor critique on their writing. In addition, we’ll examine structure, from the overarching whole to the very building blocks of sentences, working on scene, dialogue, creating an image pattern, the infusion and management of tension, and other important elements of craft.
