The Poetry of Place [Judith Roche]

We are rooted in place—and in displacement—even if we are just passing through. But how to get to the life of a place, beyond the static and expected observations? Through readings and targeted exercises, we’ll approach writing about home, the land, identity, and place. This will include “soul work” as well as writing exercises. This class is for both experienced writers and newcomers, for people who come from Seattle area and for those from elsewhere who want to write about their “home” as well as where they are now.
