Scriptwriting Scribes with Northwest Film Forum, 7-8th grade
Students will learn the basics of writing scripts for performances, including staging scenes, generating dialogue, and developing action. Students will read a wide variety of work from carefully curated writers and will participate in writing activities, craft exercises, and experiences designed to inspire their imaginations. This camp will be facilitated by local teaching artist Danielle Mohlman, a nationally produced playwright and educator, in addition to guest teaching artists from Northwest Film Forum. This camp will culminate with a performance of student work and the option for students to contribute a chosen piece to a digital anthology of their work.
This camp is for students entering 7th & 8th grade in Fall 2021 and will take place online using Zoom and Google Classroom. All camps will break for lunch from 12-1pm each day.
Scholarships are available by application. Questions? Please email keliko@hugohouse.org.
