What's the best way to start a story? Dialogue? Setting? A knock-down argument? Bring a short story or novel opening you're having trouble with or want to re-envision, and get ready to revamp! We'll look at various story-opening styles across genres to generate ideas before you tackle your own work. You'll walk away with at least one new version of your story opening, plus a fresh perspective on how reimagining an intro can alter point of view, pace, and more.
