Structuring the Longer Form [Jennie Shortridge]
Whether you’re writing a novel, memoir, or book-length creative nonfiction work, you will need to build a scaffold off which to hang your story. This is the most confounding part of craft to master, yet so important. Your framework must feel organic and true, and compel readers ever onward. All are welcome to this class, whether currently writing a book or just thinking about it. However, it will help to have a story in mind, as you will complete several exercises for crafting a story’s structure. You will leave understanding how to use basic tools and resources to create effective story arcs.
Please note this class will meet on July 23 and 30, a change from the print catalog.
