Travel Writing as Pilgrimage [Anne Liu Kellor]
In this workshop, we will explore our stories of personal questing, travel, and transformation. Each week, we will write and share from prompts that help us examine periods or places through which we’ve journeyed. We will also discuss the process and craft of writing creative nonfiction as we read writers such as Gloria Steinem, Pico Iyer, Patricia Hampl, and Jamaica Kincaid. Students will have the opportunity to workshop an essay in a supportive environment. All levels welcome.
