Writing with Richard Hugo [Carolyne Wright]

All Levels | Northwest native Richard Hugo was a renowned poet and teacher in Seattle, Iowa, and the famous Montana MFA Program. Besides inspiring this newly rebuilt House which bears his name, Hugo was a powerful storyteller on the page and in person, and he gave us his imagination’s “triggering towns.” In this course modeled on his example and taught by a former student of his, we will read his work and tell our own stories in prose and poetic form.
