Andrew is an award-winning filmmaker, writer, and theatre artist from the Pacific Northwest. His debut feature, BLEEDING, was named one of the Best Genre Movies of 2025 by The New York Times. He has served on the juries of top international film festivals and his work has screened across the world. He is known for his deep investment in his students and their work, his warm but goofy presence, and his open and supportive workshops and classes. He holds an MFA from Columbia University, but please don’t hold that against him.
Describe your teaching style.
I invest deeply in my students and their work. My approach is kind, encouraging, and supportive, while pushing writers to do the work and tell the best version of their story. Students should expect to be challenged and supported, by both the instructor and their fellow writers.
