Mark Z. Danielewski at University Bookstore
Widely-acclaimed for his genre-busting experimental novel House of Leaves, Mark Z. Danielewski continues to unfurl his most ambitious project yet—a 27 volume work involving multiple protagonists, intersecting plotlines, and his trademark, boundary-breaking typographical formatting. In The Familiar, Volume 2: Into the Forest, we follow Danielewski even deeper into a slowly converging web of stories involving everyone from LA gangsters and Asian yuppies to Turkish cops, homegrown geeks, and a twelve-year-old girl named Xanther who finds herself drawn to a vision she does not yet understand. Revealing more questions than answers, it just makes us all the more excited to dig deeper into its vast and puzzling world at this reading and signing with Danielewski.
Mark Z. Danielewski was born in New York City and now lives in Los Angeles. He is the author of House of Leaves and Only Revolutions.
This event takes place at University Bookstore.
